Survived by loving wife of 48 years, Dianne; children, Jonathan Westendorp, Heidi (Charles) Whiting and Anthony Westendorp (fiancee Amy); mother, Bernice; granddaughters, Lucy and Charlotte Whiting; godchild, Heidi Isaak; brother, Les (MaryAnn) Westendorp; nieces & nephews. Dennis was a devoted & loving husband, father, grandfather and son. Memorial Mass 10:30 AM Friday, June 26 at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church and also 4-7 PM Thursday at: Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 West 50th St. & Hwy 100

Dear Dianne and family,
I just learned about Denny's passing today (August 16, 2009) while walking through the Litchfield Walmart. I cut his hair for years and certainly enjoyed listening to his stories. He was always good about helping me plan the building of my Saturn V rocket.

Growing up your dad showed me by example (and probably without even knowing it) what a real husband and father should be like.
