Our families were close with my mom and Mrs. Wilson being best friends. Dennis was such a great friend to my brother Dan. Being the little sister I remember him being funny with a very dry sense of humor. I was so sad to hear the news and can't believe it's been a year. I didn't know if any services were held, but I thought a lot about his family that is left to mourn his passing. Sending love to Deb and Emily..Nancy (Vredenburg) Eklund

Coach was a great teacher, mentor and friend whom I had wonderful and stimulating conversations over the years since my grad from AHS in 71! I had the opportunity to play golf with him in the last few Alumni tournaments and that's exactly how I will rememberers him! Smiling and engaging with his great sense of insight! Dennis was a fine person. He coached me in the late 60's and added a lot to the program. I will always remember him as good natured, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. He wanted to help others experience the joy of winning.
Thank you for everything Dennis. God speed.
May His angels come to greet you.

I will always remember Dennis's dry sense of humor and his compassion for his fellow man. His sage advice to me, "There are two kinds of people--the haves and the have nots. It is the job of the haves to take care of the have nots." Those words help to govern my daily life. He was a dedicated teacher and a genuine person. He will be missed.
