Dennis was my Statistics teacher at J. I. Case High School back in 1978. I could tell right away that he was an interesting person to be around. At the end of one school day I saw him in the computer room, so I walked in to see what he was doing. He showed me his new portable Apple Computer with a "color" display screen. The things I will remember most about Dennis was the way he listened and the way he laughed. He listened with his head slightly cocked toward you and so intently that you knew you mattered. And his deep laugh always made me smile and join in. Dennis was a good man!

Dear Wiser Family, Dennis and I were friends in high school and roommates in Ogg Hall at UW- Madison our freshman year. He was a prince for what he had to tolerate because of me. We have not been in touch since college, but I was able to follow his career once he became involved in government. I have only fond memories of Dennis and wish I had made contact with him in our adult lives...my sad loss in addition to the all of our sad loss, now that he´s gone. David and Dennis´ lifelong...

I'll never forget Dennis from high school. He sat next to me in biology and was my lab partner. I had a lot of trouble understanding parts of it and he was always patient in trying to help me understand. It is no surprise that he ended up with the education he had and his choice of profession. I send my sympathies to the family.
