Denny Neil Bearce

A great mentor.

I remember Dr. Denny Bearce as being a very kind and intelligent man. He was a wonderful and forgiving mentor. The world is much more bright to have had his presence.

I just noticed my 1st cousin Denny´s obit on line. I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. We were close in age but closer bond being the only 2 Bearces who are Marines. Simper Fi brother. I was a Foxboro boy.

Dr. Bearce was one of my favorite professors - I took his Structural Geology & Hydrogeology classes at UAB circa 1993. I remember a field trip to Blount Springs to map the anticline there. It was hot, and we were all halfway up the hill when Dr. B remembered he left something in the van. He told us to keep climbing. He went back down the hill, grabbed whatever it was, and still beat us all to the top of the hill - and we were in our 20's! Lunch at Top Hat BBQ made the trip worth it.

I had met Mr Bearce. He seemed like a nice man. I was friends with Terry. I have fond memories of Terry and think about him often

I have such good memories of ASP, CM, and worship with Denny! Prayers and love with the family.

Denny was an outstanding colleague and a kind and generous man. We overlapped at UAB for many years.
