I dropped all my change and he helped me pick it up. He smiled, eyes all scrunched up and kind. I knew his voice from the radio.....it was a chance encounter I´ll never forget.

Denis and I met while students at U.C. Berkeley in the early sixties. He forced me to give a listen to two new artists, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, still huge in my universe. We shared many great conversations and walks. I wish we had shared more of both.
