Deno Edwards

Demo was the best principal I ever had in my 40 years of teaching. Smart, helpful, caring, and always wanting what was best for staff and students.

Coach Edwards was a good listener, and always took time for me, whether I had anything to say or not. Sometimes we sat in his office in silence. I will always remember the day he presented the high school diplomas. It was a great moment in time. It's sad to hear how he suffered as I read about his disease. Wonderful memories with Edwards, Winders and Schattenbergs. Deno, Dean, Denny and I started together at Tigard High School. Schatt was already there and we were best friends from Franklin. Deno was a great coach and counselor. He positively influenced so many students. He will be dearly missed. Dan & Sue Roisom

I have many great memories of coaching football at Tigard with Deno. Kids loved him and played their hearts out for him. They loved his ritual of `Joke of the Day´. He reached kids of all abilities and kept many from dropping out of school. I considered him a good friend as did nearly all who met him.
