I loved the way Dera looked out at the congregation while playing the piano and singing. I enjoyed the family harmony of Dera, Christine and Emmette. There's a good duet in Heaven now.

My memories of Dera Williams goes way
back to when she was at Wilson Avenue
Baptist church along with her sister,
Christine Hill and their brother, Homer
Jones. The three of them were such a
great part of our church music. She was beautiful inside as well as outside.

Mrs. Dera will be sadly missed. Heaven has gotten another angel. She was a great organ/piano player I ever heard. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time and always. I was truly blessed to have known her.

Having lived in Daphne for 16 years, we heard Dera play the piano at many funerals, so beautiful and uplifting. We found out about Dera's illness and home-going through the email prayer requests of Faith Family Fellowship, where Linda is a member. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family today and may the memory of Dera's sweet smile live on.

I have known Miss Dera and her family since they started attending the First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort in the early 60's. Miss Dera always had a sweet smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. It has been a true blessing to have known her and counted her as my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
