Oh I am sad. He was a member of the IBM Amateur Radio Club. I asked him once why he as an amateur astronomer was in our radio club. He answered I am the same hobby however my frequencies are very much higher than yours (light). He had a well designed mobile telescope and at schools he and he fellow astronomers would give the children great views of the stars and planets. I also remember driving by his home and seeing his observatory. RIP & 73 Derald, Dave K7DRT
