I pray that God heels the heart of everyone that so loved him , God loves him more, I will always cherish...

I am deeply sorry to learn of Dererk's passing. My brothers and I went to North Chicago High with Derek...{more so my brothers} and I knew his brother Chucky when he lived here in North Chicago. Both were always so nice very kind to me. The last time I saw Derek was some years ago, he was still just as sweet and kind as ever before. My heart and prayers goes out to his family.

To a young man i can call a true friend.the memories we shared during 0ur brief period we shared during our high school years will always be remembered by many, and forgotten by few.I was only blessed to share mutual conversation with you only once during the past thirty years. and the memories, and stories we shared that day about our adventures in life will never be forgotten by me. for they were our special moments.and i and my family will be hoping and praying that our heavenly father...

"My deepest condolences go out to the Andrews Family in this time of need. I shared special memories with Derek as his teammate in basketball and football in high school. To this day, I believe we invented the double high five together. If not; we certainly popularized it." Eric Rowell (Bloomington, MN)

To the Andrews family it is my prayer that the Lord sends the comforter of his many Angels in this time of need. I pray your strength and for a peace that will cover you that surpasses all understanding.

I am very sorry for your lost, may god be with you and your family during this time and bless you always.

I really going to miss Big "D" remembering his smile and unqiue swagger made him different from all the rest.Derek was one of the basketball players who I would go to see . Even when it was frigid cold I was there to cheer Big "Del" Yarbrough,Nate.L, Eric.R , Rodney.C, RIP(Micheal Seals). It seem like yesterday my Prayers go out to the Andrews Family !!!!!

Sorry to hear about Derek's passing. May God be with his family.
