Three years ago today I lost my son Derek. A day does not go by where I do not think of my son. Gracefully, God allows us to live with the unacceptable. I pray for all parents that have lost a child. The journey is gut wrenching. L D

Derek was brilliant, funny, loyal, kind, talented, and Im honored that he was my best friend since childhood. His presence was larger than life and Ill miss him forever.
