I was deeply saddened to hear that your beloved son Derek passed away. Please accept my condolences to you and Barbara. A man of God as you are is a comfort to know. Sincerely Anne Young

I recently battled cancer. During my toughest month in January, Derek was so encouraging and inspiring. Even during his own battle he thought and lifted up others. He will be greatly missed and many prayers to his family.

I had the privilege of working with Derek over the past several years. His knowledge and understanding of the industry made him a true professional, but his honesty, integrity and genuine warmth made him so much more to all his customers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kristen and the boys at this time of immeasurable loss.

We are grateful to God for Derek and all the Clenin family. May He bring you mercy and grace in the days ahead. We love you. Heidi and Mike Stokke

Wishing peace and comfort to everyone who loved Derek. You all are in our thoughts and prayers daily. May the Lord keep you all in the palm of His hands.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Derek's passing. As a fellow recruited walk-on at the U of M, Derek was always someone I looked up to. My memories of Derek are filled with him setting the example for all of us in his work ethic and commitment to greatness. His laugh and positive attitude were infectious. I am thankful that I knew Derek and I am praying for Kristen, the boys, and his entire family during this very difficult time. His fingerprints and impact will be seen for many years to come.
