Derek, you always brought a bright humor to any room, and was always willing to help. You will be sorely missed. Hannah, I know your dad was so proud of you and loved you dearly. Though I have never met you your father's stories pain a wonderful picture. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Derek was a great person and friend.

I will cherish a lot of great memories of Derek Geerlings: Our MSU versus UofM rivalry, his courtship and marriage to Molly, golfing, and we often ran in the same business circles and networking groups as he was a Commercial Banker here in Kalamazoo.
