Not sure what to say?

To the Harbin family,

For the last week I have been thinking about how to best express my thoughts ...

A smile, a laugh, a word of encouragement, a generious spirit, a concern for others, a love of life, a creative spirit, a concerned son, a content husband, an open mind, a large laugh, a great friend...

Derek will be missed, and heaven has a new cheerleader!

I called you to tell you about the Harbin Family reunion in Alabama, I never imagined that upon my return, I would not get to brag to you about sampling Auntie Cleo's caramel cake and chicken wings that you missed. I am at lost for words right now... Stephanie, all my love.

Your Cuz!!!!!!

Derek is one of those people who are truly "larger than life". To know him is to truly love him. It seems that I have known him forever and I know that he will live forever in my heart and in my life.

I worked with Derek when he worked at the Girl Scout office as our print shop operator. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help in whatever needed to get done. What a shame that the world has lost another beautiful spirit!

I was so sorry to hear of Derek's passing.I worked with hime 14 years ago at the Girl Scout Council.

After he left the council to start his own printing company I would see him occasionally when he would stop by.
Derek was a very kind person with a great sense of humor.
I'm sure Derek's passing will leave a large emptyness in your family.
