Derek Ho

My sincerest condolences., we knew Derek when we lived in Waimamalo, in the 70's . My mother , brother (Monte Jarnaghan) , and myself. Monte and Derek were friends and I was a tag along, since my brother watched me while my mom worked . My first experience surfing when I was 5 yrs old was with those 2. He was a great kid. I never forgot him. I even named one of my sons after him.. we lost contact after moving to California. . RIP.

So bummed for your whole family. Truly inspirational surfer. Stood with Jerry Lopez at Pipeline as one of the greatest of all times out there!!
