I am still in disbelief Derek, you were the nicest most polite young man that I had met in a long time when you came over my house for the first time. What an infectious smile you had. Rest in Peace my friend. I pray for your family for understand during these hard times.

May you all find comfort in the Lord. I met Derek once and seemed like I knew him for 10 years. He had a very pleasant and sweet spirit and a very contagious smile. Rest on Derek.

Wish you didn't go Derek, you were such a joy to serve with and a great soldier! Full of happiness and a smile that lit the room. You and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the Landers family on the loss of Derek. May his memory be a blessing and a comfort to you.
