Not sure what to say?

Was just playing Derek's "Running After You" and it still stirs my heart and ministers to deep places within. His earthly walk was short-lived but his impact continues on. I first heard him when I was a young missionary who was experiencing a lot of firsts but not in a good way: first disappointments; first weariness; first doubts...something in the beauty, rawness and spirit of his words and song helped me (and still continues to help me) seek God especially in seeming hard place. Thank...

Ill always remember the kind acts of Derek Loux. Amazed at his and Renees compassion for adoption and how that light lit the hearts of people to do the same. From the very first meeting him in Chicago Prayer Furnace, he influenced me to journey deeper in the Lord. He was a loving free-will offering to the service of God and man.
Peace to the family, Dereks legacy!

I can't believe it's about ten years.

This is long after Derek passed, but I wish I could have known him. I believe we shared more than just a first name. I still remember hearing Sovereign God for the first time in 2002(?) from my college campus in Bowling Green, OH. I couldn't stop crying and still can't listen to it without having a powerful encounter with God. I now live in Kansas City and am stumbling across his beautiful artwork again. I can't wait to meet him in the Kingdom come. Bless you all.

His music touches my soul to this day. Godly person.

Never met Derek - but I will see him one day and then I will thank him for the song, "You'll Be Home Tonight"...I just listened to it for the first time - loved it, researched it, and sadly found this. I am inspired by the Loux family and pray for each of you. Much love & God bless.

--we continue holding you close to our hearts and in our prayers...

I know it has been a while since Derek Loux went to heaven, but I wanted to let his family know how much his music still ministers to the hearts and minds of believers and nonbelievers alike. "Dance with Me" has led me to the depths of intimacy with Jesus and comforted my sorrow-filled heart, as well as given me joy and romance. Thank you Derek. And prayers and God's blessings to his family.
