All I can say is I'm speechless. We were friends when i went to Shores we played football together and had the same group of friends you were a great person you weren't selfish and didn't judge anyone when i heard the news my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach you will be missed my friend but I do know youre in a better place..Your Family Will Be In My Prayers

Derek is an inspiration. He was a fine young man, courteous, friendly; polite and fun. He prevailed through many hardships in his young life and was still able to retain a good heart and a positive attitude. He was a true friend to my son. We will miss him and remember him always..
