I met Derek working for Cargill in Ogden, UT. I talked to him so many times on the phone and visited the Ogden plant several times. He came bearing gifts and was always so happy and pleasant. I am saddened by the loss of such a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

What a remarkable life! Derek's enthusiasm and joy in living come shining through in his obituary. We are SO sorry he is gone at such a young age. We are cousins, good friends with Ken and Ruth, but only got to know Derek when he was a small boy. Our hearts are grieving for you all, and we are praying for your family. Sometimes, life just has so much HARD for us to go through. It won't be easy going on without him, but the Lord will bless and sustain you all. We love you, Steadmans!
