Not sure what to say?

I miss you my friend !

We miss you brother !

Derek was a good friend and I have fond memories of him. I met him as a Sales rep for Cayuga Press calling on Integrated marketing where he was Art Director. I really got to know him when we would meet for lunch when we were both in between jobs. He is truly missed !

My condolences to John and family. I was saddened to hear about the passing of Derek. May God comfort you all in this difficult time.

I just came across this article unexpectedly looking for someone else. To my horror...I cannot believe Derek is gone. We worked together on so many projects at every place he worked and into his own biz. What a huge, positive and wonderful personality Derek was! So much so, that he leaves a huge piece of that behind with us all! The world was made different because you were in it Derek, I hope that you are living it up in Heaven like we used to talk about!

Derek Van Loon, you have touched and uplifted the hearts of countless people. I had the pleasure of working with Derek at Agway back in the 90's. He was always a shining ray of light with such positivity, enthusiasm and an amazing sense of humor. He excelled as a graphic designer and I was able to learn a lot from him for the brief amount of time we worked together. My sincere condolences to his family & pets. Love is forever

Derek was always one of my favorite people when he came into the office. He will be missed.

His talent was undeniable, but more importantly his dedication and integrity was second to none. I could always count on him to be honest if he wasn't pleased in a direction a project was going and I always appreciated his honestly. I considered him more...
