WINGATE, Derek MR. DEREK WINGATE Mr. Derek "Mordred" Wingate, 18, of Stockbridge, died June 21, 2008. He was a 2008 graduate of Stockbridge High School. He is survived by his mother and step-father Vicki Wingate and James Stubbe of Stockbridge, his father John Wingate of North Dakota, sister Tori Danielle Brown of Stockbridge, grandmother Gail West of Fayetteville, uncle Jeff West of Fayetteville and aunt Kim White of Woodbury, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. I was so sorry to hear of Derek's accident I know your pain as I lost a son nearly 10 years ago. I am here for you Vicky.....I got to know your son on our bus rides to & from school, and he was a nice young man. His memory will live on!

I did not know your child personally,but our children did attend (SHS) together and my Heart cries for you in your time of loss.No bond is as great as that between a Parent and Child. My deepest condolences are with you and your Family.

mordred was a joy to be around, always joking and laughing, and he would make sure to say hi and check on me everyday at school. i will keep his family and many friends in my prayers.

i didnt really personally know you but i do remember you very well. we had lunch together and everyday i seen you before i went to 5th period and you was always hyper and laughing and with a bunch of your friends..you had a really big personality. ill be praying for your family.
