Not sure what to say?

I dont know if family checks these messages but I was reminded of Derek's death and I wanted to reach out. I hope you have found peace. I hope that tiny little baby boy is growing strong and tall. I hope you know Derek is not forgotten. Thank you for your sacrifice as a family.
You are in my prayers!

I'm proud to say Derek was a friend of mine. We met during our tour in Okinawa, Japan. In addition, his unit replaced mine in Afghanistan. He is a true war hero and will never be forgotten. Miss you brother!

Most people don't know this, besides family and friends, Derek died the day before his son was born. As Derek was patrolling the fields of Sangin, Kait was giving birth to Michael. I think about you guys all the time and hope everyone is doing well.

Semper Fidelis

I miss you brother wish I was with you during that time I was just wrong part of Afghanistan when you were there

Time has passed but your service is still remembered. May you be guarding Heavens Gates. Thank you for your service and I pray your family is holding memories of you close to their heart.

To the family of Derek Wyatt:
Derek gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."

To give one's life for another is the ultimate sacrifice. Yet, no matter how noble the cause death leaves a pain and sorrow that is difficult to cope with. May God give you all the strength you need as you patiently wait for his promised day of peace.(Isaiah 2:4) . . .And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up...

We love you and miss you!! you are in our thoughts ALWAYS!!
RIP Lil Brother

To the Family of Cpl. Derek Wyatt

I wish I had the right words to say at this time, but I know there are none. I grieve for the loss of your beloved son and I know that I cannot fathom the pain you must be feeling. Your son will not be forgotten and what he did to help protect our homeland and our freedoms. It was his life that made him a Hero. It was his noble path that made him an American Hero. It was his ultimate sacrifice that made him a Fallen Hero. May God carry him...
