Not sure what to say?

One of the nicest professors I have had the pleasure to work with through the UCR Library. He was enthusiastic about his work, and took a personal interest in the staff who worked at the library. He will be missed.

Dr. Brinkerhoff was my absolute favorite professor. He took us on many field trips and graciously lifted my friend in and out of her wheelchair. I remember when he had us for dinner at his house, he had a special Greek olive bowl with a place to put the pits.

I loved his Byzantine and Early Christian Art course as well as his Greek and Roman course.

I wish I could come to the memorial, but I am teaching art that day.

My prayers are with the family.

Dr. B. was an inspiring person and a supportive thesis advisor. My deepest condolences to his family.

Hi Caroline. I am so sorry for your loss. Is there ever a good time to bid a parent farewell?
God comfort you and your family as you deal with the grieving a loss and embracing the joy of having had the blessing of your father.

Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because orf special mightiness they are 80 years. May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

Dear Derick, I just read of your father's recent death. What a wonderful, rich life he led. My condolences to you and other family members, Marla

We lived next door to Mary & Dericksen in the 1970s and 1980s. What a fortuitous thing that was! Can you imagine having them right next door? It was not unusual for Dericksen to knock at our front door when he knew we had gotten home from work. He would be holding a bottle of wine and two glasses and telling us that we just had to try it. What fun!

I had to get a lesson in car maintenance in order to drive their French car to pick them up at the airport. Dericksen was a patient and...
