Not sure what to say?

I am so very sorry of your loss. I am sorry that I am only replying just now but I just got the e-mail from my band director of Mr. Daniels' passing. He was a very nice and caring man and I'm sorry that I didn't know much about him. I knew him from school and he always had a smile and was very kind to all the students. He was very helping also. It wasn't until way later that I was told that he was out of school and in the hospital. I feel your family's loss seeing that my aunt had...

Dear Bill & Sharde,

My deepest condolences to you all in this time of bereavement. I had the pleasure of working with Derrell in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school district for many years. I will always remember the laughter and good times that we shared at Wiley and Heights.

May God continue to strengthen you both in your time of need.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Daniels at Valley Forge. He impressed me as a one who cared for the students and did his utmost to encourage them to do better. His warm and friendly manner will be missed. I am sorry for his family with the loss they are feeling. He was a good person.

DEAR COUSIN, I WAS SO SHOCKED TO HEAR OF YOUR PASSING. I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT ALL OF US LIVING ON THE SAME STREET WHEN WE WERE KIDS. STANDING IN LINE FOR AUNTIE'S COD LIVER OIL AND BIG SPOON. TAKE YOUR REST NOW DEAR. YOU WILL BE TRULY MISSED.

Belinda, Annette, & Daniels Family:

I was very sad when I learned Darrell was sick. While I'm sorry to learn about his homegoing, I pray you find solace in knowing that as an educator, he touched, influenced, and impacted many lives. To God be the glory!

Your strength and perserverence will be missed.

We are sorry to hear of Derrell’s passing . We thought very highly of him and will miss him.
He was a first class individual. We will personally miss him and I am sure those at volleyball matches will miss him too.

I would like to send a heartfelt thanks to a man who persuaded me to enter into the profession of officiating volleyball. To see you on the stand as a representive of the African-American community gave me a sense of great pride and purpose and I will be forever grateful.

Peaceful Journey,

David L. Barnes

I didn't really know Mr. Daniels, I saw him in school and stuff, but then I heard he was out of school, because he had cancer. So, crossfire decided to go to his house and to visit him and just give him best wishes, and let me tell you, it was an inspirational day. We came in, and we began singing songs and just praying, and everyone got emotional, and it was just one of those days, where it was just great. Just, from that day, I could see it in his eyes, that he was going through a lot,...
