Wow, sometimes I was hoping to see you again, and you were suffering so much this whole time. But the good thing is being a man of God you are a sweet angel, you are with your father, and it is a better place to be .Derrell that was the Lord plan it is sad to see you leave but your father knows what's best. Im going to miss you and keep on fighting the good fight until we meet again in heaven.

Derrell was a beautiful man both inside and out. I truly loved him dearly. Derrell was an angel sent from heaven and I believe his mission was show to us what it is to have the opportunity of knowing what a true friend is. Derrell, you had a heart of gold...I love you.

"The Tree of Derrell"
When God steps out and walks upon his mighty garden HE looks upon his best trees for shade; to take a moment and reflect. He choose "The Tree of Derrell" to shade Him as He looked upon his massive works. Derrell provided branches of calm, cool shade for many until God decided his work was done. Yes, his dreams are done here but his works are everlasting. My brother, and you are, I've found Peace and Solace in our times of this earthly journey." God is good....

Rest in peace. You were so vivacious, uplifting, and optimistic! Not to mention a handsome guy. Met Derrell during his treatment, and he always had a genuine smile on his face. I'm praying for Derrell's loved ones. He will be a big star up in heaven. Rest in peace, Derrell.
