Not sure what to say?

This family took me and my oldest daughter in like family when I was 19 and they cared for her and for me till I moved away at 22 , these kids will always be kids in my mind and I loved them and appreciated their place in my life, i domt know where u guys are now , but derrick was amazing and I'll never forget the time i was blessed to be counted as a part of yalls family, times have changed i suppose

I wear Derrick's name on my wrist every single day. I never got to meet this brave man, but whenever someone asks about the silver bracelet, I can help remind them of the sacrifice that he, and so many others, made for all of us. My heart breaks for his family and friends for losing such a special person. Thank you, Derrick.

We still miss you.
Thank you for your service.
Semper Fidelis.

To the family of Lance Cpl. Derrick J. Cothran:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.
