Not sure what to say?

I was very sorry to hear of Derrick's death. I was a friend of Candace, Ann and Kathy during high school. I will remember him fondly as Candace's kid brother.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Derrick at a Personal Training conference in 1996, we became friends and he introduced me to Mountain Biking and the Dave Matthews band...both of which I still love. I have never found a mountain biking partner who was nearly as much fun as Derrick. We had a lot of laughs. Will miss my friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Derrick, Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and neighbor over these many years. We had so much fun growing up on Redmond street, thanks for the memories. Your positive attitude and zest for life is a example for the rest of us to follow. I know you are now with the Lord in joyful bliss in the company of your old friends Mary, Ann Marie and Ronnie and you parents. Thank you for your gift of Randi to us, we will take good care of her. Love, Kris

Derrick,
Kristina and I will always cherish our recent trip to Nantucket. Your courage and determination will be carried on through everyone you have touched.

Dear Randi,
We have been Derricks neighbor for 17 years, since the first day we lived next to him he became our friend. He will be deeply missed by us and all on Redmond Street. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers now and forever.

To the family and loved ones of Derrick: I learned of Derrick's passing the day after Ken's memorial service. We both thought so much of Derrick - he shared his experiences dealing with leukemia, and we were convinced that he had it beaten. His passing would have hurt Ken deeply. I hope they're together looking down at us.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
