I served in El Salvador with Derrick. I remember he was a hard worker, but knew how to have fun. He always knew how to make others laugh. To his family, I am sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to know him and he will be missed!

I served a mission in El Salvador with Derrick. I had the priveledge of taking his place in the area Mejicanos when he was tranferred. He was an energetic, fun, and spirited man who loved the gospel. I know the loss you feel; I lost my older brother when I was 11. I know that you will cherish the day when you can be together again. Derrick, may God be with you till we meet again.

I served my mission with Derrick. He was a great missionary and a wonderful friend to me. He had a great ability to speak Spanish, his testimony was so strong and he had a deep love for the people of El Salvador. He made the mission more fun and exciting and he will be very missed. I am sorry for your loss.
