With that widely known smile, DJ always said things to me like: "You're making me famous", "I tried to told u, but you aint heard me" & "...since Moby Dick was a Goldfish"! Although, the one I miss most is: "What's Up Sis". Now, a year later... I think of those things, I look up into the heavens & I say Thank You for all the laughs, all the smiles & the memories.... We miss you....

Here it is....almost a year. The shock and sorrow are still new; almost like it happened yesterday.I continue to pray for your hearts to heal, for the sorrow not to be so piercing and for the ache to get lighter. I know it will never go away because every time we think about DJ, and it will be often, we will hurt. After awhile we will think of him and smile more than we sorrow. Every time we think of him, he is here. Thank God for our memories, our chances to look past this Earthly life...
