Derrick was a great man, a good father, and a best friend. He befriended me cause I was New and had no friends. Over time he's showed me that when you want something so badley and achieve it. The feeling is amazing. And I have. Derrick I'm gonna miss you man. And I know your always gonna be there for me when I call on you. Your a great friend.

Derrick was an amazing person he was a leader in so many ways. He was a real friend to so many people.he loved his son with all his heart.he will be missed by so many people...I love and miss ya d rock!...go Indians!!!

Derrick was a giant among men in stature and heart. I was blessed to call him my friend. He will be missed. My prayers go out to everyone whose lives were touched by Derrick.

Derrick was a great man! He made so many people smile and feel great about themselves. He was selfless and was always helped those in need. We all loved him very much and I will continue to love him always and forever.
