Derrill Phillip Templet, 74, a native and resident of Luling passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church 0n Friday, June 16th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery. Derrill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine T. Templet; sons, Lance Philip (Lori) Templet and Travis Paul Templet; daughters, Stacy T. (Frank) Russo and Tiffany T. (Eddie) Dewhirst; sister, Nelda T. Langoussis; grandchildren, Franky, Hope, Simon, Jenna, Brittany, Madison, Alexis, Kelsey and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Jayden, Jayson and Carson. Derrill was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Eula D. Templet; sister, Allison E. Templet. Derrill was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 9933 and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Derrill loved sports and the outdoors. He was 2010 King of Krewe of Lul.

I know Derrill can't wait to get on that heavenly softball field with all who went before him. I remember him playing on the same team as my dad, Harold Crow. Ms. Elaine, my prayers to you and the rest of the family on such a great loss.
