Not sure what to say?

... I told Shelley just the other day..., "I still can't believe that Derwin's not gonna come walkin' up to the door". It was too sudden..., too unexepected. He had become a welcome part of our lives here. We enjoyed his company so much. I expect he will long be remembered by a lot of people. God bless you all as you move on.

Derwin you were always able to see everyone as they were. Whenever you visited, if only for a few minutes, it was like opening windows and letting the sun shine in. You will be sorely missed my friend!!!

Dear Joanne and Doug,

Jon and I met you and Derwin at Doug's graduation from ASU and only had a few hours to talk with you. I remember Derwin well -- his cheerfulness and sense of humor were so evident. We think so highly of Doug and he and Britny have been such good friends all these years. We wanted to express our deepest sympathy on your loss.

Dear Joanne and Family,
We all grieve with you over the loss of Derwin. Even though he and I are only 4 days apart in age I always looked to him for guidance and level headedness in life and work situations.

Derwin never tired of expressing his pride and appreciation for his family. He was so proud of the accomplishments of all his children. You Joanne seemed to be always on his mind. He spoke of you frequently and with great affection.

Once Derwin called me on...

Joanne & Family, I hurt for your loss of Derwin, he was such a wonderful person, caring, and understanding. He will be missed by all of us on the railroad and union. We are here for you and your family. We have you in our prayers and thoughts during these following days and weeks.

Joanne and family, I am so sorry to hear about Derwin. My sincere sympathy and prayers go out to you. Beth Burke- Barstow ,Ca
