Derwood Polk, 82, retired from pipeline construction, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at a Hamilton hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hico Church of Christ. Burial: Hico Cemetery.

Mr. Polk was born May 27, 1920, in Valley Mills.
