I was stunned by this news and can only imagine the pain Desi's close friends and family must feel. I enjoyed her energy and her deep commitment to older adults in the Bay Area and beyond. She was a bright light.

So sad to hear of Desi's passing. My thoughts are with her close friends and family. She was one of those beautiful admirable people that somehow remained humble. She will be missed.

This is such sad news to me. I played softball with Desi back in the day. RIP my friend.

Oh Desi - you were going to show us all how to age with grace and style. My heart is so sad.
