Not sure what to say?

Marcy: So saddened to read about Desmond. He was so large part of my nephew Dr. Russell T. Wall entering Georgetown, and now, Director of Admissions!
Hopefully you will remember me as a fellow member of the Board of Highland Swim Club; so many years ago.
If you come up our way, please let us extend hospitality, or whatever your time permits.
Sincerely: Jim Davenport

I'm David Otto, a Lay Minister to the Sick for Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. I visited Desmond over the last few months while he was at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home. I was amazed when I read the Obituary. I only knew him from my visits and the few items in his room. From that I learned he was a fan of Notre Dame and must have had a beloved pet Lab. November, 2007

Mrs O, Mary Ann, & Patrick - We are all very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. "O". I can easily say that there are many great memories of Dr "O" and the entire family from the days on Valley Street, which we won't forget. We offer up a toast (Irish Whiskey of course) to Des and his many great accomplishments; and will always be thankful that we can say he was our friend. All of your are in our thoughts and prayers . . . . Greg Kline (Bruce, John & of course Mighty Mary)

Marcie-John and I were so sorry to hear of Des's death. We remember fondly the years on Valley Street when we were all so much younger. Mary Kline called to tell me. Know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. We see Millie Ostergard frequently and at 96 she remains in her house on the river and playing bridge-no driving.

In addition to all of Desmond's accomplishments, we appreciate having called him a helpful and trusted friend and extend our sincere thoughts to Marcie, MaryAnn and Patrick.

Pat: Sorry to hear about your dad. he was a great guy and from what i read in his Obituary extremely accomplished. Our prayers are with you and your family.
