Destini F. Crosby

MANSFIELD: Destini Faith Crosby, 19, 417 Dale Ave., passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her home.

Ms. Crosby was born on Wednesday, March 1, 1995 in Ashland, and was a lifetime resident of Mansfield. Destini was a member of the New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church, and a 2013 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School where she was a member of the Tennis Team. After graduation Destini enlisted in the U.S. Army serving until an injury forced her to receive an honorable discharge. Most recently she was employed with Applebee's Restaurant.

Destini is survived by her grandmother, Candance Greene with whom she made her home; father, Fredrick J. Crosby, Mansfield; three brothers: Killian Pender, Killeen, Texas, Fredrick Coffee, Columbus, DeVonte Crosby, Syracuse, New York; sister, Kandace Brown, Columbus; paternal grandparents: Betty (Roger) Black, Mansfield; aunt, Demetrius Coleman, Mansfield; four uncles: Joseph Greene, Marion, Kyle Greene, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Aaron McKnight and Joshua Jefferson, Mansfield; special aunt, Sonia "Buffi" Journigan, Columbus; special niece, A'ziyah Casandra McKnight, Mansfield; two special friends: Kilee Shaw, Mansfield and Keyona Rogers, Akron; numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Destini was preceded in death by her mother, KaSandra Greene; and grandfather, Joseph Greene.

Friends may call Friday after 2 p.m. in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Homegoing services will be held at the church Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. with her Pastor Patricia Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.

I had the pleasure of meeting this very sweet and precious young lady when she visited my granddaughter Hanna in Scottsdale, AZ. Words can't describe the pain I know the family is going through. May GOD comfort you and keep you well.
