I KNEW DEVON AS MOUNTAIN MAN BLACK. MY LITTLE BROTHA ARTHUR & BLACK WERE BEST FRIENDS SO HE BECAME A BROTHA TO ME AS WELL. JUST A YEAR AGO WE WERE MOURNING THE DEATH OF ARTHUR NOW I HAVE LOST ANOTHER BROTHA. HE WAS A PERSON THE KEPT YOU SMILING AND GENUINLY CARED. HE STILL CALLED TO MAKE SURE MY FAMILIY WAS ALRIGHT. THIS SEEMS SO SURREAL. I KNOW THOSE TWO R IN HEAVEN HAVING A PARTY TOGETHER. TO THE FAMILY I SAY STAY STRONG AND KEEP PRAYING, YOU WILL NEVER COMPLETELY GET OVER THIS, BUT IT DOES...

Devon and I had been friends since the first grade at St. Augustine . He was my classmate and always watched out for me . After our St. Augustine days 1- 5 th grade , we reconnected later in Middle school at Memphis Catholic . He will always hold a special place in my heart . I will cherish our 8th grade graduation picture forever. Love you Big Bro.

Devon was one of the first friends I made at Memphis Catholic, we always loved to talk about basketball which is probably why we never got anything done in class. There are no words that can be said to comfort the loss of a loved one, I send out my deepest sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Devon and I'll see you in heaven one day.
