Not sure what to say?

The Spanish Steps in Rome...on one of our many adventures

Kept waiting to post...hoping I'd think of something profound and/or comforting to say. I haven't. All I can say is that I miss my friend. She's been like family to me for all of my 47 years, and I still can't imagine my life without her. I think of her every day. I want to forward a silly Facebook post, or text her a stupid question about police work, or ask her if she's watching some dumb TV show. I may not have seen her every day, but she was always there...just a part of my everyday...

My condolences to family and other friends. I knew Devonna virtually my whole career. I always liked her as a person and respected her work.

Thank you for your service to the residents of East Portland. Officer Dick returned our stolen car to us. It was a brief encounter and we do not have many interactions with police so I remember her. She was very professional in a congenial way and it was easy to see she was a kind person.

Daryl, Anita, and family - You are all in our thoughts and prayers as we remember Devonna with love and affection. We send our sincere sympathy to you and her police family as we mourn.

My condolences

Dear Daryl, Anita and family -
Our hearts reach out to you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Daryl, Anita and Family Members,

My deepest condolences to the entire family for your loss. I was shocked and sadden to hear of the tragic passing of Devonna.

I had the pleasure of working with Devonna in the Drugs and Vice Division. She was an excellent investigator who impressed me the first time I met her and someone who I could rely on in the unit.

Devonna had a great work ethic, compassion, sense of humor and a beautiful smile, all of which I will never forget. ...
