My mind is so full of things I would share...your relationship with my Dad, with my Dad and Mom, our friendship...
I deeply regret not being at your service last weekend. I had planned to read a letter you wrote to my parents on January 31, 1943... written from Camp Howze, Texas.

You were a most special friend, a wonderful influence, and the best cousin ever.
It is my firm belief...

Grandpa,
I sure miss our little visits with you. I am so glad that Sam was able to get to know you in the last few years. I wish that our little one could have known you, but he/she will hear the many stories of your life. We will see you again soon.

To my dear Grandpa-

We will miss you so much but look forward to seeing you again someday! "Don't you fool yourself!", WE LOVE YOU and we know how blessed we have been to have you in our lives. Thank you for so many wonderful memories.
