Safe in his arms.

Dewyne in his finest hour.

ENJOY HEAVEN, ENJOY JESUS, ENJOY ETERNITY MY BROTHER! We Miss you!

I remember Elder Davis as a very young man who brought a group of young singers (UAB) to have a meeting in my basement. He will be truly missed, a great man of God.

To the Elder's family, God Bless and keep you in the days ahead. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to yall today.
Reading Sisters Janice's note about the "Dragon Strutt" hit home. I was drum captian at that particular time at WestEnd, and my best friend Carlton Patterson marched with Parker's drum section playing Bass and wrote many candences, some of which we shared. We used to play "that" beat on the hood of his folks car with our hands...lol. Watching them at half time and in...

Such fond memories of this man of God who was everywhere God's music was being played or sung. I remember him as a child while visiting MTC with my dad when it was just a storefront type church. I honor him today for the greatness he exhibited that glorified God. He is on to his home not made by...

We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. We're sending you a hug from afar.

DeWayne Davis and Janice Baskin-Berry 2010

DeWayne Davis, was a popular talented leader of Wenonah High School. The boy made history! His many musical abilities "brought him before great men." Proverbs 18:16. Under the supervision of Mr. Bill Harris, he lead the band victoriously with his drum major staff as we strode across the fields with "da dragon strut. DeWayne had the gift of dance, and we partnered together at many sock-hops and school functions. Elder Davis' magnificent voice of tenor, still vibrate through the atmosphere....

I will truly miss this precious man of God, this passionate worshipper of the Most High. I wish I had more time with him. We would see each other mostly in passing, but he was always an encouragement to me each time we met. He was never in competition with other singers and musicians, but always sought to support and uplift. I will truly miss this dear man, but I'm thankful for the Godly legacy he has left with us.
