Not sure what to say?

Gene was a good and decent man who is fondly remembered by me, especially when he and my father would share stories of their time in the Navy. Steady as she goes Gene. With love and respect

"gene" is my best friend's step father ... he will always be missed and it was a pleasure and honor to have known him ... a great man. Emanuel.

Gene's wife Effie is my grandmothers cousin. I grew up in San Diego and Gene was a part of my family since as long as I can remember. Gene was always smiling and made those around him smile. Family gatherings were enriched and were more complete because of Gene's presence. I will always have fond childhood memories of Gene and the happiness he brought to me and my family. I will remember Gene as a man with class, culture, and an appreciation for all people. Thank you for everything Gene. I...

My husband and I were fortunate to have know Gene. He was as much a part of our family as he was our friend. We will miss him dearly.

I remember Dewey at SWRMC during the time I worked there back in the '90 before he retired. He was so pleasant and fun, always with a smile. My sincere sympathy to his family for his loss.
Susan Haley, ret. Port Engineer Asst.

Dewey was a wonderful shipmate and provided me invaluable assistance during my COMNAVSURFPAC tour. He always had time to help. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have know him. My deepest sympathy to his family.
Gary Greksouk, LCDR, USN, Ret.

Dewey will be missed. I worked with him at COMNAVSURFPAC during my tours 75-77 and 84-87. Totally outstanding gentleman in all respects. He was my engineering mentor and a shipmate and friend. Lord rest his soul and bless his family.
Tom Chaudoin, CWO4, USN, RET.
