Not sure what to say?

Dearest Dewey,
Wow it has been 10 years since you left to a better world. You were so much to me. You were my soul mate, my lover, wonderful father to our sons, best grandfather to our precious Kate, my google, my source of laughter, my comforter, my encourager, my everything big and small.
I love you for all that you were and remain in my heart. I feel your presence in all that I do. I can hear you in the depths of my soul. I listen to your words as they echo through the...

My Dearest Dewey, I am wondering when the tears will stop. I am wondering when the hurt will cease. I am wondering when I will be whole again. I have traveled many thoughts, not all pleasing to those of stronger faith. All I know is that God has much work yet to do with me. I always knew you were the better person. I trust you are in good care and smiling that gorgeous smile of yours that always melted my heart. I love you and I miss you Pat Burchett....ps you better be there when...

Message from Debra Murphy Crump ,
Mrs. Burchett- Although there's no way to remember me you were my librarian at Rusheon many many years ago and I am also a member of Benton United Methodist Church. I always remembered your positive attitude and great smile. Something you continue to bring with you to church on Sunday mornings. Please know that I am praying for you and your family. Your faith and devotion to your husband is an inspiration to me. As a single mom I hope to find that type...

I am so sorry to hear of Dewey's passing. My heart aches for Pat, Dewey and Edward. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Cindy and I pray for our precious Heavenly Father to comfort you and keep you through this difficult time. We have never forgotten what a rock of strength and comfort Dewey was when our dad died. God bless you all!

I had the pleasure of working with Judge Burchett for over ten years. He will always be remembered for his fairness, firm belief in the law and his extreme kindness. His wonderful sense of humor and warm smile will be missed. His family are in my thoughts and prayers.

To Mrs. Burchett, Dewey and Edward, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will always remember Judge Burchett as a wonderful husband, father and elected servant to his community. God Bless!

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Dewey Burchett and my first thoughts were of his wife Pat, his son Dewey and my good friend Edward. I have been friends with Dewey's son Edward for over 30 years and as you can imagine I have spent many times at the Burchett’s eating, playing cards and watching football.

I remember Mr. Burchett as a smart, honest and a somewhat serious man who loved his family and his work. There was always this feeling I got from being around...

My heartfelt sympathies to each of you in your sadness. Dewey was a man admired by all who knew him. He was kind, thoughtful, and held to his values all of his life. No greater tribute can be given any man. May you find comfort in knowing many share your loss and pray for you.

My heart goes out to you, Pat and your family. My love and knowledge of Dewey came from my dad, J. L. Thomas, Jr. Dewey always showed love and compassion for our family and I wish to extend the same to you during this time of grief. May GOD lift you from the despair and grief you are feeling and show you the light that will always shine for Dewey. God Bless, Cindy Thomas Jones
