Dewey J. Carr

Dewey was a humble man. He told me once that, a few years ago, he "died" on the operating table and that each day was precious.

His art work was awesome and he could complete a watercolor portrait in a very short time. He taught me much about the rendering of eyes and I will be forever grateful for that.

We used to enjoy his presence at the Thursday Night Sketch Group in Dunedin as well as at Top Of The World Thursday afternoon sessions.

Dewey became a good friend through the OTOW Art Guild and his wonderful portrait classes. He was always so willing to help others with their art, and always had a kind word. He will be missed.
