Dewey was a native to the Bay Area, born April 5, 1945 in San Pablo and lived the rest of his life there. Dewey owned and operated his own business in San Pablo, Dewey Shadwick Drywall for over 30 years. He was a loving and caring friend, father and husband. He was an active member, as well as an Elder at the Hope for the Bay Church in San Pablo, CA. He was a mighty man of God and an awesome prayer warrior. His thoughtfulness and compassion was felt by all those that came in to contact with him. Dewey is survived by his wife of seven years Robin Shadwick as well as his children Sheryl (Clarence Gibson); Darrin Shadwick; Alfonso Apodaca; Angela (Todd Schaublin;) and Amanda (Harry Granizo;) his 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Magee; brothers, Chuck Shadwick; Dean Magee, and Jr. Magee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Not sure what to say?

Sorry I couldn't make it to the service Amanda. May God be with you and your family. Love Nancy Meesai

I am so blessed to have known you and so glad when you became part of the church. I will miss your smile and sweet presence. I know you are celebrating around the throne of God now and looking forward to seeing you again someday.

Dewey was always super sweet and down to earth. He would talk to you about fun carpentry projects and rubiks cubes very excitedly. He had this raspy gentlemanly charm in his voice. He was so good and supporting to our proactive and adventurous Robin. I see beautiful aspects of his character in other father figures I admire: sensitive, wise, friendly, but more thoughtful and quiet, a problem solver. For who knows why, God saw it right for him to go home so soon. See you later, Dewey. We'll be...

Dad I love you very much. I will miss you dearly but I know you are dancing with Angels.

You will be missed, but I will see you again in heaven. Oh what a day that will be. The joy of us all in heave. See you then.
