Not sure what to say?

I met Adm. Freeman, when he wanted me to paint the Saratoga's symbol on the sides of his aircraft so that when he landed in NATO countries, they would know who he was! I did it for him and he was very pleased with the results. The squadron could not believe that the paintings stayed on the plane for the entire cruise. Speaking with him and serving with him on the ship is something I will always remember. He was in charge - he was a true leader.

I met Admiral Freeman only once. It was a reunion of VC-27, a WWWII Composite Squadron which was his first assignment in the Navy. My father was his first Commander and they shared some great stories with us.
Sorry I missed his funeral. he was a great men and a true Patriot.

I remember ADM Freeman from our meetings at the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society. I was pleased to have met him when he attended our Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies at The Virginia Aviation Museum. Another Naval Aviator Freeman has flown West!
God Bless!
He will be sorely missed!

I remember Admiral Freeman as a fixture at Freeman Field in Louisa, VA. Though I regret that I did not know him until later in life, he was an extremely accomplished individual. At the local level, he helped extend the runway at Orange County and helped to build the Louisa County Airport. While we know that there will be an empty chair at your holiday table this year, we are certain that it will be filled with loving memories of Admiral Freeman.

The Admiral was a terrific American Hero and will be sorely missed. His contributions to our nation and to his community will be enjoyed and honored by generations to come. Most sincere condolences to the family and friends.
