Not sure what to say?

I love Dexter and the Flat Duo Jets. I bought Two Headed Cow so I can watch regularly. He was so inspirational and a true musical genius. Sorely missed. As I read elsewhere "hard to know, impossible to forget." Rest now, Dexter. We love you!

My daughter and I were listening to the Flat Duo Jets' "Go Go Harlem Baby" just last week as we took a day trip to Dauset Nature Center in Jackson, GA. I had no idea that Dexter and sister Sara had passed. Our friends in the backseat loved the wild rendition of "Froggy Went A Courtin." Our friend Merri asked, "Who is this group? I love them!" I told her the amazing Dex Romweber and the Flat Duo Jets, explaining my college boyfriend had given me the CD, which I still treasure all these...

When I would do the late, late shift at WXYC he would stop in and hang out after one of his shows. It was always welcome. I would try to keep up with him, but he would bounce from one topic to the next, about esoteric musicians I'd never heard of. I learned a LOT. Miss you, deeply, Dexter!

Dex sitting next to me in Ms.Harrington-Austins class, in his black tux outfit with bone necklace and guitar ..and having her let Dex play ... I don't know much about Dex. But always knew he was special..

Dexter and I played many shows together so I have many memories with him. One thing though, sure he was one of the greatest all-time rockabilly musicians, but he also could sing really well on timeless classics. It always blew me away when he sang songs like "You Belong To Me" or "Raining in My Heart". Great heartfelt voice that's kind of missing in most modern "rockabilly". Dex was a kind spirit. I really loved him. Super stylish. - Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath

Sharing favourite songs in the middle of the night was like making a mixed tape for someone in highschool. Thanks for being my friend Dex. You were one of a kind and have left a huge imprint. Thanks for the music, the art and for being you. I am crushed and will miss you and remember you always. My deepest condolences to the Romweber family and all of Dexter´s friends.

A musical wiz who garnered music attention by his style of performance and relentless energy. We will remember him as a terrific performer. Here are words of comfort for his grieving family: " Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will see she Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live. John " 5:25. Respectfully submitted with deep condolences.
