It was truly sad to learn of Dexter's passing. He was a part of our extended family, but was even more a very dear friend. My husband, J. R. Pelfrey, counted the many days reminiscing with Dexter some of the very best. Dexter and J. R.'s mother were first cousins, and reflecting on the Higgins family history was one of Dexter's favorite activities. He was indeed the keeper of the ancestral legacy.
