Dexter George Morrill

Barbara, My sincerest sympathies are sent to you and your family upon learning recently of Dexter's passing. As you know, we grew up next door to each other and I always considered him to be the brother I never had. I am so sad upon learning this news. but remember all the happy times we had growing up as kids next door to each other. My thoughts go to you and your family.

I met Dex in 1957 while he and I worked at the Jug End resort in South Egremont MA. At that time, he was also studying with Dizzy Gillespie in Lenox. I already knew his wife Barbara and witnessed first meeting that developed into a long term love relationship. I enjoyed a brief and pleasant friendship during that time.
