Diana J. MacPherson of Savannah GA passed away on Monday, March 28th 2022 surrounded by family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to anyone that had the privilege of knowing her. Diana is survived by her husband Michael MacPherson, sons Mike MacPherson and Joe MacPherson, sister Carol Lambiotte, sister-in-law Michele DeRosa and nephews Paul Lambiotte, Nick DeRosa, Hammel DeRosa, Matt Hensley, Sean Hensley, Chad MacPherson, Patrick MacPherson, Randy Clements, Todd Clements and Shannon Taylor.
Diana was born on March 28, 1943 in Brooklyn NY to parents Joseph and Angela DeRosa. Her family relocated to Staunton VA where Diana married and raised her two sons until moving to Tampa, FL and eventually Savannah, GA.
Diana was an incredibly strong, loving woman and a wonderful sister, wife, friend and mom to her two boys and so many of our friends who know her generous spirit. She always put her family and friends first and was person you wanted to be around. She was a gracious host and always wanted to make sure everyone around was comfortable and having fun. She did all this with quiet grace and a loving heart.
Diana battled Alzheimer’s in her later years with the grace and dignity that she lived her life. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts, but we know that we were lucky to have her in my life for as long as we did.
A service and celebration of life will be held in Diana’s honor at 2:00 PM on April 30th at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel located at 1030 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401
Following the service, we will hold a Celebration of Life Reception from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at BluPoint Seafood Company located at 123 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401
