Diane Leslie Altman

Getting a notice of the one year anniversary of Diane´s passing made me think of some memories I had from my time as her intern. She was so patient with me, even in my sophomoric mindset. She would laugh so much, finding humor in everything. She was funny and did funny things like bring whole heads of lettuce and whole roasted chickens for her lunch. She was tiny and fit but ate all day, nuts and snacks and she was always moving. I thought she was so cool and I admired her and her influence...

I was so sad to learn that Diane has passed. I was a Skidmore College friend and shared a NYC apartment with Diane after college. We lost touch over the years but I have fond memories of our time together. She was so lively and energetic and so much fun! She taught me how to cook (after insisting I learn how), and inspired me in many many ways. Fair seas and following winds Diane.

I had an inspiration to look Diane up this morning. I´m heartbroken to learn of her passing. I worked under Diane as an intern about 20 years ago and she made a lasting impression on me. I´ll never forget how cool Diane was and how much she loved her kids and her dogs. My love and condolences to her family and friends.

There are not words adequate or eloquent enough to describe this singularly decent woman. Attributes abound when thinking of Diane; she was one of scant few people we have known who was totally without guile and characterized by her goodness.
