Beson, Diane E. (Empey) Age 65, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 8, 2014. Diane was preceded in death by parents Beth & Dale Empey of Farmington. Survived by husband Dave, sons Drew & Adam, and brother Doug. Diane made the most of every day. She will be remembered for the positive impact she made in her lifetime of service to welfare, women's shelters, children and dogs. Her generous spirit touched countless lives during her time on earth. Friends knew her to be caring, thoughtful, smart, and well-read. She was an avid traveler who reluctantly left home but always returned with stories to share. Diane was a loving mother and partner who treasured time with family. Visitation Friday 1/10 from 5-8 pm, FIRST MEMORIAL EDINA CHAPEL. Memorial Service Saturday 1/11, 11 am, EXCELSIOR COVENANT CHURCH. Memorials may be made to Sojourner Project, where Diane faithfully dedicated her time and service as a board member for many years.

Dear Dave, Drew, and Adam, I am so sorry for the loss of Diane a wonderful wife and loving mother. I only knew her for a short time when I worked for you all, but she was a beautiful person inside and out. I know she will be missed by all her friends and family greatly. Take care of each other. My prayers are with you.

We are so sorry for your loss - we will miss her so much. She was a light to all who knew her with her contagious smile and warm heart. Dear Dave, Drew and Adam, My niece, Diane,was a very loving and caring person who was always thinking of others whom she might help. Her upbeat and positive attitude in all her associations made her loved and respected I feel so thankful that we could be with her last May in Sedona at our biannual family reunion. We have so many wonderful memories of the days we spent with Diane and Dave.
